Marco Foppoli entwirft auch kirchliche Wappen, da er während vieler
Jahre die Ehre hatte, das heraldische Wissen und die Freundschaft von
Erzbischof Bruno B. Heim (1911-2003) erfahren zu dürfen. Erzbischof Heim
war langjähriger apostolischer Nuntius und ein berühmter
Kirchenheraldiker, der die Papstwappen von Johannes XXIII., Paul VI.,
Johannes-Paul I. und Johannes-Paul II. sowie unzählige Wappen von hohen
Würdenträgern der katholischen Kirche geschaffen hat. Erzbischof Heim
pflegte Marco Foppoli seinen "Schüler in Italien" zu nennen, dem er
einen Teil seines grossen Wissens über Kirchenheraldik vermittelt hat.
